About Us

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to reach the diverse women in our community; especially in different churches. And give women the opportunity to connect together and bridge the gap between their busy schedule as a wife, mother, sister, aunty, career woman, grand mother and great grand mother etc, and grow in their Spirituality / faith. Develop practical relationship with God, while empowering women in issues that cut across women.

                

   Role Model

 

Our goal as Christian women is to touch the lives of women in our community. We intend to connect with one another and also give women the opportunity to connect with each other, regardless of religion or race.

This Country is unique in the sense that it is a common meeting ground for women all over the world. These create an opportunity for women with diverse culture /gifts to come together, tab into their different gifts to empower and encourage one another.

Women go through different issues in life, usually every one wants to "protect themselves and feel secure in their little world" in so doing they short themselves completely away from the world, their by bearing their burden alone. For immigrants, it is worst, because they don't know who to trust.

How ever, God is telling us that as women, if we apply the laws of Justice & Mercy found in Exodus 23:1-5

We will become a better people.

1. "Do not spread false reports

Do not help a wicked man by being a malicious witness.

2. Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding the crowd, and

  

3.do not show favoritism to a poor man in his law suite.

4. If you come across your enemy's ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to take it back to him

5 if you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help him with it.

Women definitely find it hard to trust one another, probably because of horrible experiences they have been through in the past.

The truth is that women are beautiful creature; God has endured us with different gifts…

It is our goal to break the spirit of I can do it alone among women or I am sufficient unto myself.

We also hope to point women in the right direction, Have women commit to God .God should be in the center of our lives, family, friends and busyness. Psalm 91:9-11 tells "If you make the Most High your dwelling -

Even the Lord, who is my refuge-

Than no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

For he will command his angels concerning you to gird you in all your ways;"

Our goal is to encourage women to be one another's keeper, support each other where we can, be honest with one another, let the God given love in us bring out the best in us. For the word of God told us that among all the commandment s, Love is the greatest of all. Generally we want to promote love among all women. The Love of God.

Women play such a big role in the lives of people around them. These days they are focus on making ends meet. Trying to be the best wife, mother, sister etc that they can be.

As a result they consciously or unconsciously neglect the most important thing in Life" Acknowledging and accepting God as their Lord and Personal Savior.

The result of these is Chaos, Divorce, un ruling children, Children out of wed lock, Trouble teenagers who end up killing themselves example Virginia Tech incident, Teenagers getting involved with drugs, Prostitution, Pornography, Abortion, Children having children, Adultery , domestic violence etc.

Volunteer Christian Women Speakers are willing to help bring the women retreat /forum to the women in our community. These Speakers are God-fearing women who are highly principle and expert in different fields. They have numerous years of experience working with women and bringing positive change to each life they encounter by the grace of God. They have volunteered to do this purely for the love of God and to answer to his calling.

Our Business

1. Our business is to get great women of God from diverse profession volunteer their time to minister to women in our community either through women Forum or Retreat.

2. Get Churches to host volunteer Christian Women Speakers

3. Encourage women to accept God as their Lord and Personal Savior: Seek God and his righteousness and every other thing shall be added onto thee.

4. Encourage women to be actively involved in their home church,

5. Encourage women to discover God for themselves by attending Bible Studies, reading the word of God, Prayers and having quite time

6. Encourage Women to bound together through attending Women Forum, in so doing; they will get the opportunity to meet and connect with other women

7. Empower Women through the presentation of topics that cut across women example

Family Support,

Job,

Day Care,

Relationships,

Domestic Violence,

Raising our Children God's Way

Below are some of the immediate positive changes seen in women after retreat?

a. Women came together to discuss common issues.

Women felt more relaxed with one another

b. Women became more involved and active in the things of the Lord

c. Women got information and resources that is useful to them

d. Women felt free to discuss with one another

e. Women became eager to assist each other.

f. Women look forward to similar retreat

What happens where such forums don't exist?

a. People feel that they are alone

b. They feel that they are trapped in their different situations.

C. lost of self-confidence

d. They develop lack of trust

5. They try to mask their problems

Women retreat/forum is an avenue that helps women deal with issues like frustration; which if not properly addressed leads to depression. This not only gradually eats up the individual but permanently separates the individual from God.

One question we should ask our selves today is, as a church what are we doing to equip our women to handle practical situations in everyday life?

1. What role should I play to help either solve the problems or bring solutions to issues like these?

2. How can we encourage our pastors to continue in the good work they are doing?

3. How can we bond together as Christian women?

WHY THE CHURCH?

For believers there is no better place to start building confidence than the church,

Romans 12:4 -8

states “ Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function , so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage, if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

I believe that we can do more by bringing Jesus to our women. In addition, equipping them with the truth of the word of God. What is the truth? The truth is that the word of God brings life.

Proverbs 16: 3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and you will succeed.”

Proverb 8:35 states “For who ever finds me find life and receives favor from the Lord.

Finally, I know that it is hard in these day and age to do any thing for free.

1 Corinthians 9:1-18 tells us that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel. Yes, I checked the website and preachers have prices ranging from love offering to hundreds of dollars and there is nothing wrong with that.

Again 1 Corinthians 9:17 also tell us “if I preach voluntarily, I have a reward; if not voluntarily I am simply discharging the trust committed to me.” (Matthew 10:5-10, Luke 10:29-37)

Sisters in Christ, let us continue to work out our salvation with fear and trembling for it is God who works in us to will and to act according to his good purpose. Let us press on toward the goal for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus. For we know that no eyes have seen and no ears have heard the good thing that our Lord has in stock for us when we seek and diligently do the will of our father.

Not having God in the center of our Live is like a time bomb waiting to explode which ends up in crisis.
