SPIRITUAL GROWTH WOMEN FORUM NOV 3, 2007

Spiritual growth could mean different things to different people. People placed their belief in different subjects or objects. I will focus on God, Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator of heaven and earth, The Omni Potent, Omni Science and Omni Presence God.

Omni Potent-Able in every respect and for every work; unlimited in ability; all-powerful; almighty;

Omni Science-The state of being omniscient; having infinite knowledge. The quality or state of being omniscient; - - an attribute peculiar to God.

Omni Present-Present everywhere simultaneously.

Their can not be spiritual growth with out the knowledge , believe, trust , Faith commitment and acceptance of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit as Lord and Personal Savior. 1 Corinthians 2: 14 states that “The man with out the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he can not understand them, because they are spiritually discerned”.

As individuals, we must make personal decision on whom to believe and or serve. The word of God tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:21 “You can not drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s Table and the table of demons. Given the nature of God as seen in Psalm 139:7-10 “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from++ +your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast” God is ever ready and willing to accept and nurture us, All he requires of us is to accept him into our lives.

John 5 : 24” I tell you the truth, who ever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

John 14:6 is clear Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me”.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”.

STEPS TO ATTEND SPIRITUAL GROWTH -First step: To attend spiritual growth, you must first accept God into your life as Lord and Personal Savior John 3:3 “I tell you the truth; no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again”. He told us in his words that no one comes to the father except through the son. Many at times we miss understand what it means to be a born again. It simply means accepting Christ as Lord and Personal Savior

The second step: You must believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit Mark 1:10. Believe that Jesus Christ was crucified death and berried; on the third day, he rose from the grave Matt 28:1-7, he ascended into heaven. He is seated at the right hand of God the father, he will come again in Glory to Judge the living and the death

Third Step: You must make conscious decision to truly live and abide by rules and regulations or commands of God. We have to make sure that our lives reflect what we profess and not the other way round.

Matthew 15: 8 “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.”

What we do at this point will determine if we are qualified and true authentic disciples or followers of Jesus Christ and will determine spiritual growth in us. Romans 8:9-16,

2 Timothy 2:19 “The Lord knows those who are his …” 2 Timothy 2:22, John 10: 14 I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me”

What we must do to ensure and maintain steady spiritual growth

Read the Bible - the word of God is God breathed, useful for teaching, encouraging, correcting, and rebuking.

Prayers - John 17 tells us the importance of prayers in Jesus life, He prayed for himself, his disciples, and for future believers these include you and me.

As you begin to abide by the word of God, you will encounter trials and temptations.

Satan tempts Jesus Luke 4: 1-13

When you resist the temptation of gratifying your human nature (spirit of self), than you are making way for Spiritual Growth.

Colossians 3:17 tells us that “What ever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him”.

At this point, the Holy Spirit will indwell in you and will constantly remind you of the truth, what you read in the bible, what to do at all times... The Spirit will guide you in the right direction as long as you continue to abide by his rules. John 15: 4

“Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. At this point you are in the realm of spiritual growth where the spirit will reveal things to you as seen in John 14: 21 “Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my father, and I too will love him and show myself to him”.

At this point you are able to identify your Spiritual Gift. Spiritual Gifts Wisdom, Knowledge,Faith,Healing, Miraculous Powers, Prophecy, Distinguishing between Spirits, Speaking in different kinds of tongue, Interpretation of tongues these are all different kinds of gifts , but the same Spirit. Luke 6: 44 each tree is recognized by its own fruit. May our Good Lord help each of us to attend Spiritual Growth in Jesus Name.

Pastor Vicky Schulze spoke on choosing Life Partner, she emphasized that women should know who they are and who they belong to. She said that women are the bride of Christ and should learn to carry themselves, they should avoid going out of their way to search for husbands, other wise they might follow their human desire which might end up in getting a counterfeit husband. Women should seek God and his righteousness and every other thing shall be added onto them.

She encouraged women to go to God in prayers.

Women should learn to wait upon the Lord, present their request to him, and wait upon him.

She gave the following qualities as important qualities to look for in a man

One who seeks God, prays with out season, and knows the word of God.

Pastor Mary Shominure spoke on Proverbs 31:10-31 the virgeous woman. She said that we have two types of women the strong and powerful woman. The shunimie woman represents the strong woman, she was rich, yet she respected her husband. She trusted in God as a result, the Lord met her at every point of her need. While Jezebel represents the powerful woman, her marriage crumbled because she thought she had wisdom and she did as she liked.

A virgeous woman is a committed woman, she has Christ in the center of her life, and she depends on him to guide her. She needs Christ to build her home, herself, spirit and personal relationship with God. Sister Mary rounded up with Philippians 4:8 encouraging women to practice what ever that is true , righteous , noble, admirable and praise worthy.

Reality Check

Have you accepted Christ as your Lord and personal Savior?

Are you living in accordance with God's will for your life?

What do you understand by the Will of God?

What is your prayer life like?

Do you have quite time in the morning and or night?

Do you ever have quite time with your family?

Which is the hardest, having quite time alone or with family?

Are you a single mother or woman living with a man with the Hope that he will marry you?

Do you think that your spouse is cheating on you?

Have you thought of what you can do to flame up the initial love in your marriage?

What is your communication like with your spouse?

Are their things in your mind that you can not discuss with your spouse?

Are you satisfied with your job?

What is THE most important thing in your life?

MONEY, MARRIAGE, CHILDREN, FIRM, POWER,

12-30-07

Our prayer this week is focus on the end of year, pray that God will lead us into 2008. Pray that God will help us to change things we where not able to change in the yr 2007. and that he will help us to be focus in the coming yr and make good decisions that will glorify the Lord and bless us. 

12-23-07

Our prayer point will be focus on praying for a good end of year and God's devine favor and guidence in the  coming  year 2008.  

12-9-07

This week, we will focus on the Power and Mighty nature of God. Meditate upon his words and promises of restoration in our lives. Because he is God of hope, any one who places his hope in the LORD, is rest assured that their hope is in the right place.

May our good Lord visit each of us that have our hope in him in Jesus Name.Amen    

12-1-07

Pray that God will strengthen all the workers in his  yard, and he will protect us from the claws of enemies. May our good Lord grant Spirit of boldness to his own in Jesus Name? Amen

Continue to pray for all that be sick, my cousin who will be having surgery this week, My Mother who is schedule for surgery next two weeks. All who are sick that God will heal them in Jesus Name? Amen.

Let us also pray for all travelers this Christmas period that God will grant journey mercies to his people in Jesus Name.

Our Prayer this week focus on our walk with God through out the year. Let us ask God to help us reflect truthfully on our walk with him this year, that we might recognize areas of our lifes that we need to work on and areas we need to improve on in Jesus Name. Amen.

We will focus our prayers this week on thanksgiving. Pray that God will accept our thanksgiving, a thanksgiving offered with a sincere heart.

Pray for journey mercies for each person traveling

Pray that people will celebrate the thanksgiving in a way that will bring glory to God's name.

We focus on prayers of thanksgiving to God Almighty for all answered prayers.

Our Prayer today should focus on asking God to help us over come weakness in time of prayer, layziness in time of reading his words. And to help us overcome the spirit of self which war against us each time we want to do good or run away from temptation that leads to sin.

Our prayer to day is that God will grant each of us the power of persistance in prayers. Not to give up both in time of need and time of joy. Remember God told us to pray both in season and out of season.

May our God help us to put our trust in Him completely, when we put our trust in him, we will not lack any good thing, and he will not let us be put to shame, nor let our enemies triumph over us.

Let us continue to pray that our God will show us his ways, teach us to follow his path, guide us in his truth.

Let us continue to pray for the women forum that as the day draws closer, that God will strengthen every volunteer, bless and keep them. And God will help all that have receive the invitation or seen it to come out to fellowship together.

God will use all the speakers to bless the women in our community. May he also, provide for everything that  is needed for the forum.

While we continue to pray for our women forum event coming up in Nov 3,2007. Let us pray that God will bring Peace where their is disunity.

Pray using Psalm 37:8 ,that in times of in justice , that Christians will remember to refrain from anger and turn from wrath; as this only leads to evil. Let us pray that God will give his own the grace and strength to continue to wait upon him even when it seems we are loosing. For no one can fight our battles better than the Lord.

Finally pray for those who call themselves our enemies.

Commit women who will like to participate in the Women Forum but either have a sick one to take care of , have to go through  a surgery, Pray that the Good Lord will grant speedy recovery to our sisters in Christ, that they will be able to attend the Forum and share in the testimony of God. Pray also that those who are not yet decided or are engage in one thing or the other, that God will make it possible that they will be free and will be set in their mind to attend the Forum in Jesus Name.Amen.  

Continue to pray that my Mother will receive perfect healing from our Lord. And that she will be able to attend the women forum.

Let us pray that like Joshua in the bible that God will help us to commit time of worship and fellowship with him in our private closets.

 Pray that God will bless the Women Forum coming up on November 3,2007. That God will place it in the mind of all that get the invitation to come and be blessed. He will touch the hearts of as many as will attend the forum. 

He will strengthen the organizers

Pray for the sick, especially for those suffering from diseases/ sickness

That is labeled terminal, life threatening and untreatable.

Our God is the same yesterday, today and for ever.

While on earth, He went about healing every disease and sickness

As seen in Matthew 4:23, 12: 15. We believe that He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases. Like the faith of the Centurion who said “Lord I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.”(Matthew 8:8)

Let All Children of God who has faith as small as the mustard seed (Matthew 17:20) join in prayers these month in claiming and declaring healing for all the sick especially for my mother, and those in the above mentioned category.

May our Good Lord hear our prayers in Jesus Name? Amen.

The Virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel-which means ,

"God with us".

Sisters,

Meditating on the true reason for Christmas and reading Matthew 1:23  brought it fully back to my mind the true meaning and reason why we should be celebrating Christmas. A child was born to the world, not just any child but Immanuel which means God with US. It is enough reason for us to celebrate Christmas, knowing that long before we were woven in our mother's womb, that God already is with us. That should give us hope and joy for the rest of our life here on earth.

Only question is how many times do  we  as mothers or children of God take time to explain to our children the real meaning of Christmas and not let them run around thinking it is all about seasonal holidays, gift and Santa.

Sisters, let us make an extra effort this year to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, take advantage of it and draw closer to God ,establish a better relationship and draw our love ones closer to God. Give meaningful gift that will draw people closer to God.

I GIVE GLORY AND HONOR TO ALMIGHTY GOD, FOR GIVING US THE BEST GIFT EVER, HIS SON JESUS CHRIST.
